Morning Baskets have transformed the beginning of our homeschool day!
Before we had our lovely box the kids begrudgingly got dressed and started their lessons. Something was missing.
Connection
They needed more time with me. They needed time together. My kids needed snuggles and to hear my voice before we jumped into too much work. They needed to play some games and sing some songs before they were ready for more formal learning.
Yes, all of these needs were able to be met with a simple basket. A basket filled with education and fun goodies.
Our Morning Basket
Our families morning basket will look different than another families but this is what works well for us and I wanted to share it with you.
Our Basket Foundation
Our basket has a few key supplies that are always there.
Variety in our Morning Basket
We don’t always have a sub-theme but we often do. I choose topics based on my kids interests, holidays or future plans. We add picture books, trivia cards and games. Occasionally I even find read-aloud books that cover a theme and one of our foundational books, such as history.
